OUR STORY

Reserva Alecrim is a place to feel

We believe in respect for nature, contemplation, and communication through silence. In the genuine power of transformation through the conviviality between people and the culture of the place. In the impact of nature, the sea, the sun, the stars in each person. We believe in the reconnection of our guests so that they return to their homes with a new-felt, energized look. Our luxury lies in simplicity and an unpretentious way of living.

Local culture & Sustainability

Just below Sierra de Grândola, with its landscape of olive and cork oaks, scrubs and rosemary, the smells mix with the song of birds and the sound of crickets. Here, you will find delightful hiking and biking trails in the middle of the mountains or by the sea, incredible cliffs for paragliding, extensive deserted beaches and the lagoon of Santo André and Melides reserves, icons of preservation in the region.

In the middle of nowhere with everything around

In Santiago do Cacém, just 130 km from Lisbon Airport, in the Alentejo Littoral, between Comporta and Costa Vicentina, down the mountain on the way to the beach, many years ago, heaped with the best and most genuine Portuguese rurality, there lived a true Alentejo family. The Reserva Alecrim brings back to life the spirit of the land, maintained today in celebration of the current matriarch of the family, Dona Maria, our neighbour. We blend in with the agriculture and pastoralism, in communion with nature, all the comfort and tranquility atop a hill with an incredible view, set to the backdrop of sea and the Santo André Lagoon nature reserve, surrounded by an agricultural landscape of pines, cork oaks and an abundance of rosemary. Reserva Alecrim is located less than 15 minutes from the best beaches of the Alentejo coast with a world of experiences to discover.

Glamping between mountain & sea

You will find the peace of rurality and the fascination of the sea in the first Glamping Boutique Resort of the Alentejo coast. Our property is 28 hectares, completely preserved with local fauna and flora such as cork oaks, olive and pine trees, as well as lavender and rosemary. 36 well-kept lodges are carefully “planted” in the midst of nature, with the comfort of a house or a hotel room. All well equipped with a queen size bed, en-suite bathroom, small kitchen with stove, fridge and freezer, comfortable furniture, air conditioning, fireplace, flat-screen TV, a neat lighting scheme, and sun beds. Three swimming pools; a biological pool, a heated dome pool and an infinite edge pool, a small lagoon, a playground, hiking or biking trails, the possibility of visiting a small vineyard and homemade bread production are just some of the activities that you will find. However, the main attraction is the best beaches in the Alentejo region, many of them deserted, with trails for walking or cycling and much more to discover.
